Popis: This paper describes a 60 GHz ultra-wideband (UWB) transceiver for indoor communication using 0.13 mum SiGe BiCMOS technology. The main advantage of this technology is the full integration of the analog and digital functions required for a high data rate wireless transmission at 60 GHz. The transmitter architecture is based on single-ended circuit topology. This paper describes the different functions needed to realize the transmitter (oscillator, switch and amplifier) and its performance achieved with the BiCMOS process. Single-pole single-throw (SPST) switch measurements are also detailed. It presents a ON/OFF transmission ratio about 40 dB at 60 GHz.
