| Popis: | Pyometra is an intrauterine abscess formation. It is a potentially lethal disease. In the postmenopausal patients, forgotten intrauterine device (IUD) gives rise to pyometra. Sonography and computed tomography (CT) are required for the diagnosis. Drainage and uterine curettage after dilatation are essential procedures.
