Popis: | We investigated the capabilities of a small animal PET scanner, named SiliPET, based on four stacks of double sided silicon strips detectors. Each stack consists of 40 silicon detectors with dimension 60 × 60 × 1 mm 3 . These are arranged to form a box 5 × 5 × 6 cm 3 with minor sides opened; the box represents the maximal FOV of the scanner. The performance parameters of SiliPET scanner have been estimated, giving an intrinsic spatial resolution of 0.52 mm and a sensitivity of 5.1% at the center of the system. |
