Popis: | Sixteen normal and 19 diabetic pregnant women were studied. A sample of amniotic fluid was obtained from all patients between one and six days before delivery. In 20 cases a sample of maternal blood was obtained simultaneously. Glucose concentration was measured in all samples. The Apgar score was evaluated in every neonate at the first and fifth minutes of life. No significant correlation was found between glucose concentration in amniotic fluid (GCAF) and gestational age. GCAF values were higher in the diabetic than in the normal group. Our results also show a significant inverse correlation (p |
