Popis: | We carried out complex pathomorphological analysis of hearts (n=640) with pronounced left ventricular hypertrophy accompanied by asymmetric hypertrophy of interventricular septum, which were isolated from patients died of hypertension. The most frequent variants of pathomorphological interrelationships between the left ventricle and interventricular septum in hypertensive hearts were septoconcentric, posteroseptal, and anteroseptal relations. The study revealed alterations in the left ventricle (the state of ventricular cavity, its volume, and structural remodeling) characteristic of each variants and underlying the pathognomonic manifestations in cardio- and hemodynamics. The role of coronary and myocardial factors in the development and progression of myocardial hypertrophy was established. |
