Popis: | The presence of the enzymes glucose-6-phosphate-dehydrogenase, 6-phosphogluconic acid-dehydrogenase and aldolase was studied in a number ofLactobacteriaceae. Heterofermenters always lacked aldolase. The homofermenters could be divided in two groups according to the presence or absence of the dehydrogenases of the oxydative pathway of glucose breakdown. It is suggested that theLactobacteriaceae can be divided in three groups |
