Popis: The article presents a comprehensive research aimed at identification of features to be embodied in new design ergonomic and safe suspended monorails. Survey regarding comfort of use of suspended monorails is presented – the results and conclusions drawn. The main criteria and factors to be taken into account during ergonomic assessment of suspended monorails – both the existing ones and new designed ones – were indicated. Operator’s cabin and people transportation units were covered by the survey. Two computer aided analyses were presented as well. In the first one, specialistic software was introduced to create anthropotechnical system and calculate static discomfort coefficient of different segments of a passenger represented by biomechanical model. In the second one, MBS numerical method was used to find solutions which enable to reduce vibrations of the operator’s cabin.
