Popis: A 60-year-old healthy woman presented with fever, abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea. After initial conservative therapy, enterectomy was performed because of perforation of the jejunum. Histological analysis and high titer of anti-CMV IgM confirmed the diagnosis. A 2-year follow-up was uneventful. CMV enterocolitis is frequent in immunocompromised patients, but rare in immunocompetent subjects.
