Popis:	A pattern of growth in human epidermoid carcinoma tissue cultures infected with virulent Mycobacterium tuberculosis var. hominis, was described. The bacteria and tissue cells grew together for a period of several months. The effects ranged from toxic and depressed growth with heavy suspensions of organisms to a stimulated growth of tissue cells with survival of cells and bacilli. Multinucleated cells appeared in infected cultures, and a fine vacuolization of the cytoplasm.
