Popis: | Traditionally, distribution networks were designedfor unidirectional flow of electricity, but due to integration of distributedenergy resources there is bidirectional flow of power inthe system. This bidirectional flow of power has given rise to newchallenges in the distribution network. These challenges includevoltage variations, fairness issue, protection problems and powersystem stability. Grid operators also require that all convertersconnecting these distributed energy resources with distributionnetwork should have the fault ride through capabilities for systemreliability. In this paper a summary of these challenges occurringdue to integration of distributed energy resources in distributionnetwork is described. Also, a review about the solutions for thesechallenges available in literature is presented. |
