Popis: Cerebral palsy (CP) is a non-progressive heterogeneous condition characterized by neuromuscular deficits leading to disorganized mechanisms of postural and segmental trunk control. These deficits affects development and limits functional abilities. Amongst all functional impairments, sitting is extensively affected which further impedes development of functional skills. Considering the importance of postural control and segmental trunk control in execution of motor skills, it is crucial to understand the interaction of these factors in children with CP. This systematic scoping review aims to understand and describe the altered mechanisms of postural and segmental trunk control and their effect on sitting ability in children with CP.
