Popis:	The need for tetanus prophylaxis in trauma including bums has been well documented (Smith et al., 1975; Amy, 1985). In cold injury, the guidelines are unclear (Kyosola, 1974; Rains and Ritchie, 1984; Sabiston, 1986; Weatherall, 1986; Macleod, 1987; Wyngaarden and Smith, 1988). We report a case of tetanus following frostbite, emphasizing the importance of routine tetanus prophylaxis in this circumstance.
