Popis: | Sleep disorders in older patients can be caused by the changes of aging, physical disorders, psychological problems, certain drugs, or a combination of these. A complete physical examination and a thorough sleep history help in selecting appropriate treatment. Pharmacologic or surgical therapy may be needed, but one or more sleep-hygiene measures are adequate to improve most patients' quality of life when they are asleep--and awake. |
