Popis: | We describe a new technique for extraction of complex foreign bodies from the urinary bladder which cannot be removed through the conventional pediatric cystoscope, thereby avoiding an open cystotomy and the morbidity associated with it. Using cystoscopy as the optical device through the urethra, a 10-mm laparoscopic port can be introduced suprapubically under vision for extraction of complex foreign bodies while the bladder remains insufflated with carbon dioxide at a pressure of 12 mm mercury. |
