Popis:	The occurrence and distribution of freshwater fishes of the middle and lower Orange River in the Republic of South Africa is presented, based on a survey conducted in September 1980. Particular attention is paid to the Augrabies Falls region including the Augrabies Falls National Park. Comments on the distribution and conservation status of the fishes are given.
