Magnetotransport in chemically derived thin films and multilayers of ferromagnetic perovskites

Popis: Epitaxial La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 thin films were prepared by a nontraditional solution-based metalorganic aerosol deposition technique. The specimens show a metal–insulator transition temperature TP=150–250 K and a maximal magnetoresistance ratio Δ R/R(5 T ) =160–1400%. A `colossal magnetoresistance’ of about 105% was observed in a La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/LaMnO3 (10 nm×10 nm) multilayer. Magnetotransport properties depend on the microstructure of the films.
