| Popis: | 135 primiparous Rh(D) negative women were studied after delivery. 56 had been delivered of Rh positive ABO compatible infants and eleven Rh antibodies were found. Seven of the antibodies were able to be detected only with enzyme treated cells. Six of the seven patients had a second infant which, in each case, was Coombs' positive and required treatment for haemolytic disease of the newborn. 398 serial blood samples were examined from 46 other primiparous Rh(D) negative patients and five early Rh antibodies were demonstrated (10.8%). The time of appearance and reactions of the antibodies are reported. |
