Popis:	The article analyzes the social and legal basis for re-examination of criminal cases in higher courts, namely, in the appellate and cassation procedures On the basis of the current criminal procedure legislation and scientific analysis of the views and opinions of various scientists there were made conclusions and recommendations regarding re-evaluation of criminal cases in higher courts.
