Among young women there is an increasing prevalence of sedentary lifestyles and less participation in physical activity. Cardiorespiratory endurance is very important to support active muscle work so that it can be used for metabolism. Cardiorespiratory endurance is closely related to VO2Max. Currently, a new variation of aerobic exercise has been found, namely by varying the intensity of exercise. This research is an experimental study using a pre and post test control group design. The population used young women who took part in Zumba gymnastics as many as 20 people. The results of researchers mostly using interval training for therapy research on cardiorespiratory fitness to increase fat oxidation with submaximal exercise has never been done. The results of the study are that there is a significance of 0,008 which means that there is an influence or there is a significant relationship between several variables. Moderate and submaximal intensity exercise has an influence on cardiorespiratory fitness. The conclusion of this study is that low-intensity and sub-maximal intensity exercise can increase VO2Max so that it can improve cardiorespiratory fitness in young women. |
