Popis: | SUMMARY Two outbreaks of acute pneumonia in pigs occurred from which only Pasteurella multocida could be isolated by a conventional technique but Haemophilus parahaemolyticus was isolated using a dilution method. Two experiments were performed which indicated that H. parahaemolyticus was capable of initiating sufficient damage to the lung to allow P. multocida to invade and produce a severe pneumonia which was fatal in some cases. |
