Popis: We present a genome assembly from an individual male Lycaena phlaeas (the small copper; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Lycaenidae). The genome sequence is 420 megabases in span. The whole of the assembly is scaffolded into 24 chromosomal pseudomolecules, with the Z sex chromosome assembled. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl has identified 12,147 protein coding genes.
