Popis: | Complexes of Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Pd(II), Hg(II) and U(VI)O 2 with 2-acetylpyridine phenoxyacetyl hydrazone (HAPPA) have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility and spectroscopic (IR, 1 H NMR and UV–Visible) data. The IR and 1 H NMR data suggest the bidentate and/or tridentate nature of the ligand. Octahedral geometry has been assigned for Mn(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes while distorted octahedral and square planar configuration have suggested for Cu(II) acetate and Cu(II) chloride complexes, respectively. Pd(II) complex is diamagnetic and gives square planar geometry. However, corrosion inhibition and antibacterial studies are reported. |
