Popis: | 1. 1. Mitochondrial fractions prepared from skeletal muscle of yellow eel showed a low LDH activity after being washed with a phosphate buffer. 2. 2. After freezing and thawing of the mitochondrial fraction its LDH activity increased markedly. 3. 3. This increase was greater for purer fractions, the purity being controlled by electron microscopy. 4. 4. The LDH was characterized by a comparatively high isoenzyme ratio. 5. 5. The facts mentioned strongly support the occurrence of a mitochondrial LDH in the skeletal muscle of yellow eel. |
