Popis: | Component I (a metabolite isolated from Aspergillus nidulans) was shown to increase the cellular uptake of sterigmatocystin by Bacillus subtilis. The uptake of sterigmatocystin by bacterial cells caused the induction of aberrant cellular forms and inhibited DNA synthesis with little effect on the synthesis of RNA and protein. |
