Popis: | Acute interstitial pneumonia (AIP) is a rare and severe form of diffuse lung injury that affects previously healthy individuals. It is a subset of idiopathic lung disease with a rapidly progressive course. The prognosis is poor with over 50% of patients dying during hospital admission from progressive respiratory failure. Presented herein is a case of a previously healthy 64-year-old woman without a prior history of tobacco use who presented with progressive hypoxia, dyspnea, and nonspecific constitutional symptoms. |
