Popis: | The effects on the aortic intima of the rat of long-standing (12 months) hypertension were investigated and extensive intimal thickening composed of flocculent material and scattered mononuclear cells was found. The former material stained with anti-rat fibrinogen but not with IgG. The results of chronic hypertension on the rat aortic intima does not appear to be fundamentally different from the effects of more acute hypertension. |
