We examined the impact of advance care planning (ACP) self-efficacy and beliefs in predicting skilled nursing facility (SNF) provider judgments about initiating ACP conversations. This multi-site study of 353 nurses and social workers within 29 SNFs used a factorial survey approach in which providers judged vignettes with assigned features of a typical SNF resident. Mixed models were used to test hypotheses about vignette responses.
