Popis: This report presents evidence on the social factors influencing the adoption of soil-improving cropping innovations. The report comprises both published and unpublished articles and analyses using a range of methodologies such as Q-methodology, online survey, and content analysis to discuss different aspects of the social such as the role of trust, norms, connectedness, power, social capital, and gender in influencing the decision of farmers to change the management of their soils towards more sustainable soil practices across and within select project sites. Through the different articles and analysis, the report reiterates the value of social learning from different peers and networks and the kind of likely dynamics of trust and social acceptability it can engender.
