Popis: | Platelet volume and density distributions of three different groups of patients were studied. In group I (thrombocythemia following splenectomy), platelet volumes and densities were within the normal range in spite of sudden platelet increase. In group II (ITP), the gaussian distribution of log volumes was deviated towards a macrothrombocytosis; however, the dispersion of the values was significantly increased in spite of the homogeneity of platelet age. After splenectomy, the young platelets (age |
