The e-by-pass separator is a novel separator concept which can be used for improving the functioning of an electrochemical cell. It is composed of two adjacent separator layers, which are tied together and spaced-apart at the same time. Between the two separator layers it features an integrated electrolyte by-pass-channel, which enables a third stream of fresh electrolyte between and through the separator layers.T |
