Popis: Character education reinforcement in secondary school is one of theeducational programs aimed to expect the tendency of moral perversionbecause of moral decadence. Various forms of moral deviations result instudents being alienated from normal life. This article aims to discusscharacter values reinforcement and the principal's transformationalleadership strategy to shape student characters in a descriptive-critical way.The aims of this study are school strategies in optimizing to carry outcharacter education reinforcement. This research uses a qualitative methodwith a case study design. Data analysis used a modified analytic analysismethod. Meanwhile, the data validity measurement was based on the level ofcredibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The resultsemphasize the importance of shaping student character as an anticipatorystep to decrease moral distortions among high school students and theeffectiveness of the principal's transformational leadership role in optimizingimplementing character education strengthening programs in schools.
