Popis: Introduction: Hirschsprung's Associated Enterocolitis (HAEC) is the cause of Hirschsprung sufferers morbidity and mortality. Management performed on HAEC patients includes fluid and electrolyte resuscitation, decompression with gastric sonde installation, rectal wash out and antibiotics. Sinbiotics are a combination of probiotics and prebiotics, which can be used to balance the microflora in the digestive tract. Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the histopathological description of the degree of enterocolitis in the wistar rat colon between those given synbiotics and those not given synbiotics. Methods : This is a single blind control trial experimental research. Group I, performed rectal abrasion, then the anus was sutured for 3 days, after that a rectal wash out was performed. Group II, rectal abrasion was performed, then the anus was sutured for 3 days, after that, rectal wash out was performed and synbiotic 80 mg orally / 8 hours were performed. In the 6th day, each group performed a rectal biopsy and assessed the degree of enterocolitis based on Teitelbaum. Results : Grade I was only found in the Synbiotic group, grade II was found most in the Synbiotic group, while grades III and IV were most found in the group without Synbiotics. In this study, we did not find a picture of V grade. Histopathological grade was significantly higher in the group without Synbiotics than the synbiotic group (p
