Popis: | In normal subjects, exercise capacity is related to diastolic filling.(1) However, in patients with previous myocardial infarction, the association between exercise capacity and diastolic filling is less clear(2,3) and might be influenced by other determinants, such as infarct size and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). The present study compares exercise capacity in remote myocardial infarction, between patients with normal versus abnormal LV filling patterns, stratified for infarct size and LVEF. Transmitral inflow deceleration time (DT) of the early diastolic peak velocity and color M-mode derived flow propagation velocity (Vp) of the left ventricle were used to classify LV filling patterns.(4). |
