With the growing share of distributed energy resources (DER), the concept and paradigm of distribution grid is changing in terms of topology, monitoring and protection, and the active contribution of distributed energy sources and end users in maintaining stability. This paper analyzes the possibilities of distributed energy resources in contributing to the stability of the power system through the provision of non- frequency ancillary services. The paper proposes solutions on including so far passive DER in active stakeholders in the function of distribution network regulation. Use of DER as ancillary services provider was tested on the part of the distribution system with disturbed voltage profile. |
