| Popis: | Bleeding from telangiectases of the peripheral airways is described in a patient with hemoptysis of two-and-one-half years duration. Fiberoptic bronchoscopy demonstrated many discrete networks of vessels, some of which showed signs of recent bleeding in segmental and subsegmental bronchi. There were no lesions of the skin or other mucosal surfaces, and there was no family history of bleeding. To our knowledge, hemoptysis from telangiectases isolated in the bronchial tree has not been previously described. |
