Popis: | Purified house dust allergen was chosen as a prototype of atopic allergens capable of consuming human haemolytic complement in vitro . C hu inactivation in dilute serum proceeded by way of the classical sequence. The major effect of allergen was on C1 and C2: negligible loss of effective C3 and C5 occurred. Preliminary isolation studies and indirect evidence indicates the destruction of effective C1 to be mediated by a euglobulin macromolecular serum factor. |
