Popis: | SummaryTwo multi-centre trials are reported on the use of a new urea and hydrocortisone combination, contained in what is described as a drug-delivery system of a powder-cream base, in 90 patients with various non-infective inflammatory dermatoses. In the first study, the new combination was compared with betamethasone 17-valerate cream in 49 patients. Results showed it to be at least as effective in the conditions treated. In the second study in 41 patients, the new preparation was shown to be significantly superior in effect to an acidic urea/hydrocortisone cream.Patients in both studies expressed preference for the new preparation over the other creams and this was very marked in the comparison with the other urea preparation. |
