Popis: | Background: Acute renal failure in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) is a complex pathophysiological state. Very few reports describe this condition and little is known regarding its optimum management. We report a case of acute renal failure in severe DKA in an adolescent boy. Early renal replacement therapy and maintaining serum osmolality in narrow range has shown complete neurological recovery. There is urgent need for developing guidelines for management of renal failure in DKA in children. |
