The catalysts were prepared by the incipient wetness impregnation technique, and were studied in the temperature range between 40 and 250°C. The activity of the 15%Pd-2.5%Fe catalyst was found to be better than the Pd-only catalyst, especially in the temperature range, 90-165°C. Increasing the Fe content further decreased the activity of the catalyst. Pre-reductive treatments given to the 5%Pd-2.5%Fe promoted catalyst resulted in a catalyst showing better performance at temperatures below 100°C.
