Popis: | The correlation between iron content of the liver and ABO incompatiblity was evaluated by histological examinations of stillborn and neonatal infants. ABO- incompatible infants had significantly higher iron content than ABO compatible infants. This study offered histological evidence of increased hemolysis in ABO-incompatible infants even though clinically no such symptoms existed. |
