Popis: | In isolated rabbit lungs perfused with solutions containing little or no carbonic anhydrase activity, nearly complete equilibration between H14CO3- and 14CO2 occurs during a single circulation. This equilibration can be inhibited by blocking pulmonary carbonic anhydrase with acetazolamide. |
