Popis: | Wires used in fracture fixation or elective procedures can migrate within the body, and some lethal complications have been reported in the literature. We report a case of knee discomfort caused by a broken cerclage wire that has migrated from the hip region to the popliteal fossa after trochanteric osteotomy used in revision hip surgery. The authors point to the potential risks of broken orthopedic hardware. |
