Popis:	Weil-Malherbe and Bone1 claimed to have estimated the relative proportions of adrenaline and nor-adrenaline in mixtures of the two by the different colours of fluorescence given by these substances when coupled with ethylene diamine and extracted into iso-butanol. We attempted to repeat this work but obtained varying results. We therefore investigated further the mechanism of the reaction.
