Popis: The GNSS technique is of great importance in monitoring polar motion for its numerous ground stations and frequent observations. However, for the same reason, it generates such a large amount of data that in operational activities we are used to processing GNSS data with an arc length of one day. This approach may cause problems if we want to obtain a time series of pole coordinates with a time resolution higher than one point every six hours. We perform a detailed study of pole coordinates time series with high time resolution determined from GNSS observations with GINS/DYNAMO software. We use GRG reprocessing 3 preprocessed data with a time span from 2017 to 2020 to get the best condition for comparison between the GPS and Galileo constellations. Artefacts such as orbital period resonance and data processing discontinuity are studied in detail. Spectral differences between the two constellations are characterized, and possible causes are proposed. With time series of such high time resolution, we also noticed that amplitudes of certain periodic oscillations vary throughout time. These variations are studied and characterized with different approaches such as continuous wavelet transformation and least-square estimation with sliding window. We also look into possible causes of these variations.
