Popis: | Four hundred and eighty-two cerebrospinal fluid cytocentrifuge preparations were examined in order to establish morphologic changes inherent in the technic and to define normal or “negative” preparations. Abnormal findings and conditions posing diagnostic difficulties are discussed. A small group of cases in which malignant cells were present in the fluids is presented. This background information should provide a basis for interpretations of the findings in cerebrospinal fluid examinations, especially in the difficult situation of leukemic involvement of the cerebrospinal fluid with small numbers of cells. |
