Popis: | The study extended the applications of powder pycnometry (PP) replacing the commercial enveloper for alternative envelopers (ceramic and carbon microspheres) to determine the envelope density of fine recycled aggregates (FRA) sand fraction. The properties of enveloper material such as particle size distribution, skeletal density and shape (aspect ratio and sphericity) affect the envelope density determination consequently impacts in porosity results by the association of PP and Helium pycnometry (HePyc). The porosity determination by association of HePyc and PP are comparable with mercury intrusion porosimetry analysis for medium sand fraction (0.300–1.180 mm). |
