Popis: | The purpose of the article is biographic description and analysis of the first stage of scientific activity of well-known Ukrainian scholar, diplomat, public figure Viacheslav Grygorovych Tsyvatyi. In accordance with this purpose, the article applies historiographic analysis and synthesis, problem chronological, retrospective and comparative methods. Scientific novelty of the research lies in the fact that for the first time the main landmarks of the first thirty years of research, teaching and managerial activity of V.G. Tsyvatyi in national historiography are discussed, his large personal contribution as Professor, Deputy Rector and Rector of Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Diplomatic Academy in organization of training of national diplomatic personnel was analyzed. Informaion about peculiarities of his creative work are accentuated as well as basic conceptual approaches to characteristic of key events in history of international relations from various ages were obtained. Conclusions. Pupil of an outstanding expert in history of international relations Y.E. Ivonin, Distinguished Worker of Education of Ukraine, V.G. Tsyvatyi is now a member of numerous respectable international research and public organizations. V. Tsyvatyi is author of more than 600 scientific works, co-author of nine collective monographs, three textbooks and teaching aids. His research interests are connected with the study of international relations history, diplomacy models of certain countries of Europe, America, Asia and are extremely variegated. After defense of his candidate���s thesis ��French-Spanish relations in late XV ��� early XVI centuries�� V.G. Tsyvatyi actively studied political diplomatic aspects of the history of Reformation in XVI century, organization of diplomatic service in a number of contemporary countries, role of particular subjects of post-bipolar system of international relations, theoretical aspects of Ukrainian diplomatic service institutionalization, image of diplomat from some states in diplomatic theory and practice.
