Holotype: ♀, SOUTH AFRICA, Western Cape, Cape Town, Table Mountain National Park, Inukshuk Cave, 33°59′S, 18°24′E, 708m a.s.l., leg. D. de Bivort, A. Hitchcock, P. Swart, G. Giribet, 5.XI.2011 (SAM ENW-C007258, previously MCZ IZ-21577), not examined. Paratypes: 2♀, Same data as holotype (MCZ IZ-21577), not examined. Diagnosis and description. For a diagnosis and detailed description of the species, see Harvey et al. (2016). Remarks. The species was described from three female specimens that were found under rocky debris in the dark zone of Inukshuk cave in 2011. As yet, no male specimens have been collected. These are true troglobitic pseudoscorpions, completely lacking eyes and possessing elongated pedipalps and legs. They were the first new South African gymnobisiid species to be described since Gymnobisium octoflagellatum in 1947. Due to its recent and highly detailed description, a redescription of the species is unnecessary.
