Popis:	We have recently designed and developed a lateral thigh fascio-cutaneous flap based on the first perforating artery. This artery supplies the distal part of the gluteus maximus muscle and continues to supply the fascia, subcutaneous tissues and skin over the lateral aspect of the thigh. We describe the use of this fascio-cutaneous flap in the repair of ischial and trochanteric defects.
