Popis: | A Johnson-Cook type damage law, with pressure and temperature coefficients from published literature, is applied to simulations of carbon steel chip formation in general engineering built up edge (bue) conditions. Secondary shear zone damage and strain-rate contours are predicted with incipient bue appearance. The model is further speculatively applied at the micro-machining scale. |
